Dentistry Show London 2026

Would a private patient choose you?

Half of the 50 UK practices we scored in June failed the first-impression test a private patient runs before they ever ring. We are running it live at Stand H43, Dentistry Show London, 9 and 10 October.

What we found

One quick look. Three awkward numbers.

Half.

Of 48 practices we could fully verify, 24 failed.

13 of 50.

Homepages that opened with a real photograph of the practice or its people.

13 of 17.

Practices that had posted to Instagram within 48 hours and still failed their own homepage.

The order that works

Do the right work in the right order.

Fix the homepage and Google listing so a comparing patient has a reason to choose you.

Then use reviews, content and real faces to confirm the practice is current and real.

Then advertise, once the first two can carry the traffic.

Private growth breaks when practices do the right things in the wrong order.

Run the test yourself

Nine checks. Ninety honest seconds.

You do not need a dashboard. Open the three places a new patient checks and look at what they see.

Your Google listing

What shows on Google Maps

  • My main photo shows real people from my practice, not an empty room, the building, a logo or a stock smile.
  • I have at least one review from the last 12 months.
  • My listing shows correct hours, a website link, and a way to book or request a visit.

Your website homepage

The page the Google link opens

  • The big image at the top is a real photo of my actual practice, team or patients.
  • The first headline says something only my practice could say.
  • A real dentist or team member is photographed somewhere on the page.

Your social

Your most active Facebook or Instagram page

  • My most recent post is from the last six months.
  • At least two of my last six posts show real people from my practice.
  • My last six posts could not belong to any other practice unchanged.
